WW2 United States Army "Signal Corps" military sweetheart expansion bracelet. Yellow gold filled with raised enamel emblem. Center placard measures 1-1/2" x 3/4" and is slightly curved to fit the wrist. Expansion bracelet measures 1/2" wide and stretches open to accommodate most wrist sizes. Marked "Kestenmade 1/20 14K GF" on the back. light wear to the high points of the expansion portion of the bracelet, not the placard- and a chip out of the white portion of the enamel. Circa 1940's.
About the maker: Kestenman Bros. Manufacturing Co- Providence, RI. Founded in 1916 by Charles and Abraham Kestenman. Makers of jewelry with an emphasis on the design and manufacture of high quality items. In 1935 they expanded their lines to include identification bracelets and during WW2 made various military insignia. )
