Fantastic 900 silver Victorian pocket watch slide chain with anchor, cross, heart: hope, faith, and charity (or love). Measures 14-1/2" in length. Fancy twisted T-bar, slider has rose gold flowers and leaves on one side, and engraved leaves on the other. The cross and anchor are engraved on one side, and plain on the other. The heart is engraved on both front and back. Also looks great worn doubled up as a bracelet. Weighs 15.7 grams. Marked "sterling" on the inside of the swivel, but this has been added, most likely American in origin. In excellent condition, has not been cleaned and retains its original age tarnished dark patina. Very nice quality, all of the oval links have been soldered for strength. This is expressed in percentages, 900/1000 (900 parts silver, the balance various alloys)- whereas sterling silver would be 925/1000 (925 parts silver, the balance being alloys).
