Carter, Gough & Company signed 14K solid yellow gold Victorian Guilloche teal blue enamel three seed pearl bar pin. Measures 1-3/4" x 3/16". Marked "14k" on the clasp with letter "C" sideways in a spade shape, the company hallmark. Completely original and in excellent condition, circa 1900. $6.95 US ship/insure.
About the maker: *Carter, Gough & Company- Newark, NJ. Manufacturing jewelers founded November 1, 1841 by Aaron Carter, who, having been previously employed by the old firm of Taylor & Baldwin and D. Colton, Jr., pioneer manufacturers of Newark, embarked in business with Michael Doremus and A. Pennington under the name of Pennington, Carter & Doremus. The last listing found was 1922.
